Stuart Ashley Shaw (born 15 April 1991) is an English cricketer. Shaw is a right-handed batsman who bowls left-arm fast-medium. He was born in Crewe, Cheshire and educated there at Shavington High School.
Shaw made his debut for Kent in a Twenty20 match against Middlesex in the 2010 Friends Provident t20, with him making three further appearances in that seasons competition.[1] During the 2011 season, he made his first-class debut against Loughborough MCC University, with him going on to make three further first-class appearances that season.[2] He has taken 11 first-class wickets to date, which have come at an average of 36.36, with best figures of 5/118.[3] His maiden five wicket haul came against Derbyshire in the County Championship. In that same season, Shaw also made his List A debut against Worcestershire in the Clydesdale Bank 40. He made five further appearances in that format during 2011, the last of which came against the Netherlands.[4] He took 5 wickets in these six appearances, which came at an average of 36.80, with best figures of 3/26.[5] Shaw made no Twenty20 appearances during the 2011 season.
